Community Involvement
The firm and its individual lawyers are involved in various community and charitable projects. The firm has designated the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as its principal charity and participates annually in the charity's fundraiser. The firm has also set up volunteer teams for the task of cleaning up City Park as a result of the significant damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. Firm lawyers, individually, lend their time and monies to various charities including Volunteers of America, Goodwill, Association of Retarded Citizens of Ouachita, St Tammany ARC, Options of Hammond, Greek Orthodox Church, and the Magnolia School. Our lawyers also volunteer their time as Ombudsman for ESGR which assists returning servicemen and women with employment problems. Firm lawyers are also active in the Louisiana State Bar Association including membership in SOLACE, Secret Santa for children in need, as hearing officer for commission of the Disciplinary Board, presenting on LSBA Law and Civic Education Law Day, coaching a team in the annual statewide High School Mock Trial competition and volunteering on the Jefferson Parish Personnel Board.
