James Rather's practice focuses on litigation in several fields including product’s liability, trucking and transportation, merchant liability, and commercial litigation.  He has tried numerous bench and jury trials throughout the State, and has experience arguing appeals before the Louisiana appellate courts.

As an Adjunct Professor of Law at Tulane University in New Orleans, he teaches litigation to students in the paralegal program.
